A picker selects merchandise from shelves and prepares items for shipping. Pickers are found in warehouses, distribution centers and production facilities. Also known as picker packer, order picker or warehouse picker.

Picker/Packer Job responsibilities

– Order picking and packing of products
– Able to lift up to 20-50lbs at a time
– Previous RF Scanner experience in an assist
– Picking of product
– Packing of product
– Labeling of product


• Previous warehouse experience
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Attention to detail
• Forklift Operator Certification an asset
• Valid driver’s license in some cases
• Must have proficient computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Clear Criminal Check

Job Summary

Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock and other.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Schedule distribution of goods; prepare bills of lading, invoices & other shipping documents.
• Perform manual & computerized inventory control.
• Maintain internal record keeping system, record shortages & reject damaged goods.
• Route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, unpack goods received.
• Oversee loading & unloading of goods.
